The Sands Hotel Hokianga - Opononi

Overlooking Hokianga Harbour at Omapere, The Sands Hotel Hokianga is a pretty 4-star hotel offering spacious accommodation in a lovely location.

This hotel has 43 guest rooms including ten 5* Luxury Villas. The rooms are a good size, andhave ensuite facilities. 37 of the rooms have a balcony with 19 rooms overlooking the water.

The hotel has 1 restaurant for guests which offers a lovely selection of traditional New Zealand cuisine including many seafood specialities. The Sands Bar & Restaurant is the perfect venue to enjoy a meal with a view as it overlooks the water and the dunes across the bay.

The Sands Hotel Hokianga is ideally situated to explorethat the Hokianga Harbour area has to offer, including the surrounding forests, dunes and sandbar.

The hotel day starts from hour 14:00 and ends at 10:00.

A valid credit card must be presented on arrival, and be in the same name as the guests name on the booking confirmation. Forpre-paid bookings, the credit card used to facilitate payment must also be presented on arrival.

Superior Beachfront King. This superior room boasts stunning views of the magnificent Hokianga Harbour. It has a conservatory with doors opening out to a private balcony. It also includes satellite TV, ironing facilities, and tea and coffee making facilities. The private bathroom has a hairdryer and a shower and guests can request a bathtub. Please note that the price is based on 2 guests. There is capacity for one (1) rollaway bed for 1 child 12 and under. 6 rooms are on the first floor and 6 rooms on the ground floor. There are 3 sets of interconnecting rooms available - please request this on reservation. ;
Standard King Room. This studio features It includes satellite TV, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities. The private bathroom has a hairdryer and a shower. Please note that the price is based on 2 guests. There is no capacity for additional guests. ;
Two bedroom Beachfront Apartment. Two bedroom Beachfront Rooms The spacious Two Bedroom Family Rooms include a fixed Queen bed in one room and two single beds in the other. There is a separate lounge area. Each suite also comes with a private balcony with ocean views, or a patio that’s just a short walk from the sands of Hokianga Harbour. There is capacity for one (1) rollaway bed for 1 child 12 and under. There are no self-catering facilities. ;

Designed with privacy in mind, each villa features a private courtyard with hot tub, outdoor shower, loungers and landscaped garden. Relaxation is complete, with a lounge area, king size bed, walk in wardrobe, double monsoon shower and luxurious bath. Whether a romantic weekend away or just to get away, our Villas is the perfect place to relax –year round. Fireplaces are currently not functioning.
