Situated right on the doorstep of the World Heritage site of Tongariro National Park, Kings Ohakune is a suitable base for guests wanting to enjoy the fantastic outdoor activities that the region offers including skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, kayaking and hiking. Kings Ohakune was established in 1913 and the restaurant decor plays homage to the history of the building and the town. The on-site bar offers a range of craft beers, including Ruapehu Brewing Company’s own revolving tap. Coffee is available at cafes just around the corner from the property.
